A 13-year old young lady, who was impregnated by her 42 years of age father, conceived, end of the week, to a baby girl at the Bénin Central Hospital.
The commercial motorcyclist, Friday Moses, according to rerport, begun sleeping with his little girl at age seven after the girl’s mom died.
When the act became public knowledge in October last year ago, and an Edo State Family Court condemned the man to 14 years detainment with hard work, the state government brought the adolescent into protective authority.
In the interim, the young girl has said she wants to proceed with her education and turn into a medical doctor.
She told newsmen that as at the time she was impregnated by her dad, she was yet to write her First School Leaving Certificate examination, yet that she would be happy if her education is sponsored by great vivacious people.
Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Philip Ugbodaga, said he has instructed the management to cancel the medical bills of the teenager.
Dr. Ugbodaga said the hospital was in a joint effort with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development to take appropriate consideration of the teenage mothers and their infant.
Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Ms Magdalene Ohenhen, could not be reached for comments.
