2024 UTME: JAMB approves 747 CBT centres for registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially approved 747 Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centers for the upcoming 2024 UTME, set to commence on Monday.

This was according to a bulletin issued by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor.

After initially shortlisting 907 CBT centers for accreditation, the Board, after rigorous revalidation and integrity tests, finalized certification for 747 centers for the 2024 UTME exercise.

In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its surroundings, numerous candidates were observed registering at various CBT centers.

While some candidates reported seamless registration experiences, others encountered challenges. At the Future Gate CBT center in One-Man Village, candidate Chinaza Onuegbu expressed concern over being directed to register at another center without a clear explanation.

Onuegbu later discovered he needed a JAMB profile code and was asked to return the next day for registration.

“I was at the Future Gate to register for my Direct Entry but was not allowed to register. I was told to go to another CBT centre if allowed.

“I moved to another centre within that vicinity but was told to return to the Future Gate to resolve any problem.

“Immediately I got back to Future Gate centre, I met someone who told me to bring my profile code, but I could not produce it because I didn’t understand what it meant.

“I was, however, asked to go home and get my profile code and bring it tomorrow so I can be registered.”
