At least 48 per cent of people infected with COVID-19 in Lagos state are not aware that they are carriers of the virus, the Lagos State Government said.
At a briefing on Monday in Alausa Ikeja, Lagos the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi confirmed that the state is currently treating 16 per cent of COVID-19 severe cases, while one per cent are in critical condition.
“48 per cent of people infected with COVID-19 have very mild symptoms or even asymptomatic. Some of them don’t even know they’re carrying the virus,” he said.
Recall that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu had issued a fresh restrictions following the upsurge in the COVID-19 infection in the state.
