521 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria

On Sunday 21, 2021, Nigeria recorded another 521 fresh cases of COVID-19, bringing the country’s total infection to 152,074.

Confirming this new cases via its Twitter handle, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, disclosed that the new cases were reported in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The agency also reported the death of seven patients, which brings the total fatality to 1,839.

NCDC also confirmed the recovery of 271 patients in Lagos and Kwara states.

Lagos recorded 166 fresh cases while Ogun recorded 52 fresh cases.

Other states with new cases include Rivers-47, Adamawa-37, Ebonyi-37, Akwa Ibom-25, Osun-21, Bayelsa-18, Kaduna-17, Oyo-16, FCT-15, Ekiti-14, Kano-12, Edo-12, Borno-9, Yobe-8, Ondo-6, Nasarawa-4, Bauchi-2 and Kwara-3.
