Store Officer

ROLE PURPOSE

Assist Store Supervisor in the management of material issue and receipt.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to store supervisor and record keeping.
  • Maintenance and audit of material in stock.
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
  • Assist in finalizing various MIS reports pertaining to store procedures.
  • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
  • Carrying out all other functions as designated in line with achieving the departmental objective.
  • Receiving and arranging of materials received from the vendor into the storeroom.
  • Issuing of material duly approved on the Inventory Management System.
  • To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • This role requires a first degree or its equivalent diploma qualification
  • Requires between 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role

Backend Analyst

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for assisting specialist backend monitoring in monitoring all communication on meters in the network.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide analytical report on status of MD/NMD AMR/AMI meters.
  • Engage IT team in fixing the communication issue of AMI meters in the network.
  • Manage the configuration and setup of all meters on the platform.
  • Manage the modification of MD customer information on CIS to new AMI/AMR meter for remote reading.
  • Reprogram meter to correct CT/VT rating on AMR meters to remove the occurrence of multiplying factor in billing.
  • Provide analysis of energy consumption for discrepancies and energy losses.
  • Coordinate with Revenue Optimization and Monitoring unit on accurate back billing and revenue loss calculation.
  • Weekly/Monthly reporting of identified cases of meter tampering/energy theft for maintenance.
  • Monthly spooling from all server of online/offline customers.
  • Escalation of all tampered related issue to relevant teams for prompt investigation
  • Prompt setup of installed DTs, Feeders, LVMD and HVMD on CIS/TMR.
  • Proper account maintenance of customer information on TMR.
  • Coordinating with Power Allocation Team in measuring supply availability on feeders meters via TMR.
  • Remote compilation of AMR/AMI meters for billing to MDMM engineers.

MINIMUM  REQUIREMENTS

  • This role requires a first degree or its equivalent diploma qualification
  • Requires between 2-4 years relevant work experience. Ready to learn new skills and system language for extraction, compilation and reporting.

Vigilance Strategy & Monitoring Officer

ROLE PURPOSE

Will be part of a team responsible for field activities in line with the strategic objective to reduce unbilled energy.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for field activities aimed at reducing unbilled energy.
  • Provide insight for team operations through statistical analysis of customer data to drive field activities at identifying revenue and energy leakages.
  • Supervise technical gangs in carrying out safe diagnostics on meters, disconnection and reconnection of customers.
  • Conduct investigation of whistleblowing on illegal use of electricity and provide reports to stakeholders.
  • Periodic customer meter recertification and DT validation exercises for energy accounting.
  • Enforce sanctions on consumers resorting to theft or illegal use of electricity in line with regulatory provisions.
  • Provide support for weekly and monthly reporting of team’s activities for performance management.
  • Periodic compliance reviews on both customer and field commercial staff to ensure compliance to company policies.
  • Examine the existing procedures that provide opportunities for inefficiency and malpractices and implement remedial measures.
  • Escalate all cases of non-compliance and monitoring all escalated issues/complaints for resolution.
  • Joint responsibility for commercial loss reduction initiatives.
  • Provide commercial loss reports of the Business Unit to management.
  • Comply with Quality Management System / Operational Health & System requirements and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
  • Carry out any other duty as requested by the Head Revenue Protection and Enforcement Unit, Team Lead Vigilance and BU Vigilance Specialist.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • This role requires a first degree/HND in Engineering(Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Engineering)
  • This role requires between 0-2 years technical work experience

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Technical Competencies

  • Familiarity with technical field work, use of work tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Knowledge of the various types of electricity metering infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of the electricity supply chain value system
  • Knowledge of the electricity regulatory codes and requirements
  • Knowledge of various forms of meter manipulations and other forms of energy theft
