Job Description

  • In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping and executing the business plans, capital raising, and establishment of new projects and ventures.
  • Success in this position requires strong general accounting, finance, and management skills, as well as the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • As the Chief of Staff, you will work closely with the leader to drive the strategic vision of the organisation, ensuring seamless operations and long-term growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the leader to develop and refine the business plan, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial projections
  • Identify and secure capital raising opportunities, including investor outreach, pitch presentations, and negotiation of terms
  • Oversee the establishment of the company, including legal, regulatory, and operational requirements
  • Develop and implement financial and accounting processes to ensure the company’s long-term financial health
  • Manage and optimize the day-to-day operations of the organization, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective processes
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives and drive growth initiatives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leader, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations on key business decisions
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, potential investors, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate the organization’s performance and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing changes as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or management roles, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in starting new ventures, capital raising, and establishing businesses
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, including financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing circumstances
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus
