65 migrants were thought to have lost their lives in the Mediterranean off the coast of Tunisia after their boat capsized.

And according to the UNHCR, United Nations refugee agency, there were only 16 survivors.
Survivors say that their boat left Libya on Thursday and started to experience some problems during strong waves.
Since the start of the year, the incident is believed to be one of the worst shipwrecks involving migrants.
The Tunisian Navy helped bring the survivors to the cost and at currently awaiting permission to disembark. And the UNHCR reports that one person has been transferred to the hospital for further treatment.
A statement from the Tunisian defence ministry said that as soon as it heard about the incident, the navy dispatched a ship and came across a fishing boat that helped pick up survivors.
Reports also said that a Maltese helicopter was also mobilised.
The passengers are confirmed to have been from sub-Saharan Africa.
Vincent Cochetel from the UNHCR said, “This is a tragic and terrible reminder of the risks still faced by those who attempt to cross the Mediterranean.”
