The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku was the recipient of accolades and awards today as he was honoured by the Centre For Ethics And Self Value Orientation (CESVO) for exceptional leadership and conferred with Integrity Icon Of Nigeria (IIN).
Centre For Ethics And Self Value Orientation is an Anti Corruption Body and Non-Governmental Organisation based in Lokoja that rewards ethical leadership in governance across the country.
The convener of the organisation, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu elucidated the choice of the Ojodu LCDA Mayor and the council for the honours as it was the outcome of commendations through conducted opinion polls and private investigations across the community and environs.
He further stated the parameters and qualities such as Service Delivery, Budget performance, Staff Management, Emotional intelligence, Transparency and Accountability Leadership, Participatory Governance and Quality Control that enabled the choice of the Mayor and Ojodu LCDA for the awards.
Former awardees of the Integrity Icon Of Nigeria recipients are Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House Of Representatives and Mrs Aruma Oteh, Former DG of the Securities and Exchange Commission while the organisation also plans to train hundreds from Ojodu LCDA in ethical leadership.
Hon. Segun Odunmbaku appreciated the organisation for the honour and privilege from an organisation of shared values – ethics and that it has prompted a responsibility to do more while expressing his belief for a new Nigeria and society as envisioned by his mentor ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU whom he emulates in leadership.
The organisation also presented awards to the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, Council Manager, Engr Dele Abayomi, Leader Of The House, Hon. Opeyemi Apatira, SLG, Hon. Olaide John Bello and Councillors of Ojodu LCDA.
