Assistant Production Manager

Job Description

  • Oversee the activities of all the staff on the Jamara production floor like coordinating at assembling floors, access the quality of the produced item and give report as required.
  • Plan and organizes production schedules, assess project and resource requirements, determine quality control standards, manage production processes and ensure that the production is cost effective.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Escalating production issues to the production manager as soon as possible.
  • Training staff on SOP and motivate them to work according to Jamara standard.
  • Reduce time for assemblers and ensure all materials received from stores are complete without damaged and placed in the correct locations.
  • Responsible for the tools, machines and shop floor and reporting any faulty item in time and follow up to get it in working condition.
  • Sending hourly, daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Maintaining the budget and monitoring the consumable stock and minimum safety level
  • Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the workplace, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.

Sales Executive

Brief Description

  • Track new sales prospects, promote and sell Company’s products and services and maintain long-term customer relationship. Meet and exceed Company’s expectations to drive rapid and maintainable sales growth.

Duties

  • Present, promote and sell Company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers. Seek out new sales prospects through cold calling and networking.
  • Conduct appropriate presentations on Company’s products and services.
  • Help in improving Company’s brands awareness.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of Company’s products and services as soon as orders are payments are made.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals by agreeing on the terms and conditions of the contact.
  • Follow up on after sales activities in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate new product development and prices to new and existing clients.
  • Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by collaborating with customers and understanding their needs.
  • Identify products and services improvements by remaining up to date on industry trends, market activities and competitors. Collect market information and conduct competition analysis including product and price comparisons.
  • Assist with client retention and business development, conduct research, process quotations and tenders, receive payments and organize delivery documentation of the finished product, process orders through company’s internal system.
  • Analyze the markets potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Prepare and submit reports on customer needs, complaints, inquiries and determine potential solutions.
  • Prepare written reports of sales activities including sales orders, backlog, forecast, lost accounts. Prepare and submit sales reports as requested.
  • Participate on behalf of the Company in exhibitions and trade shows.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate in Business Administration or equivalent. B.Eng in Electrical / Mechanical would be preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the sales field of Industrial Products

Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

  • Responsible for mechanical maintenance, repair and installation of production line plant and equipment involved the production of Company’s products.
  • Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.

Duties

  • Maintain and repair factory machines, equipment, fabrication machines and tools to ensure minimum downtime to production.
  • Read blue prints and related technical literature as required. Fabricate jobs from blue prints and sketches.
  • Fault finding and diagnose problems with production line plant.
  • Work with Production Engineers to install new and replacement plant and equipment.
  • Record maintenance activities carried in the plant and equipment.
  • Ensure all factory machines are working at optimum operation condition.
  • Ensure all maintenance operations are carried out in accordance with safety and quality procedures, risk assessment and safe systems of work.
  • Identify and maintain critical spare inventory levels and coordinate accordingly with stores.
  • Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, BE. Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or equivalent is a plus.
  • 3 – 5 years of proven work experience in general factory mechanical machinery, plant & equipment.

Competencies:

  • General factory mechanical machinery, plant & equipment experience.
  • Experience of maintaining & servicing rotational machines.
  • Familiar and able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
  • Have an understanding of engineering drawings and principles.

Production Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage Gbagada factory in accordance with Company’s policies and manufacturing procedures, including personnel, materials, equipment and tooling.
  • Manage production work routine (start, close, breaks, overtime, vacation, absenteeism, discipline, shift pattern).
  • Maintain production work flow by monitoring steps of the process to meet specifications and deadlines; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring employees and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Manage the inventory to ensure that JMG Ltd has always the supply needed to complete production quotas quickly and efficiently, place orders when necessary in advance so inventory is restocked before depletion.
  • Maintaining Standard factory, 5S  & 8 waste standards.
  • Prepare and participate in Inventory Control Audits and manage all idle stocks.
  • Monitor & achieve efficiency improvement, quality and machine capability targets.
  • Confirm weekly production plan, ensure material is available and return material surplus to Stores.
  • Monitor tooling list, ensure availability and fit for purpose and make sure Torque tooling is calibrated and used where specified.
  • Plan and organizes production schedules, assess project and resource requirements, determine quality control standards, manage production processes and ensure that the production is cost effective.
  • Audit QA checklist for content, accuracy & completion and ensure section awareness and understanding of Quality Control Manual. Complete sample PDI Quality Checks.
  • Get the Real root cause of any failure
  • Re-negotiate timescales or production schedules as necessary, select, order and purchase materials.
  • Estimate, negotiate and agree budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. Manage weekly preventative maintenance program adherence and report equipment breakdown immediately.
  • Monitor Quarantine area and log in each section and is accountable for minimum WIP in All Quarantine area.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning employees; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and employee requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as representative on management teams and projects and ensure appropriate technical documentation is always available when needed
  • Plan & Validate NPI in meeting the standard and close up as planned.
