Senior Machine Operator
Brief Description
Supervise cutting & bending section of production line. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Inspect and monitor machines on a regular basis during the entire shift and adjust the speed of the machine as well as loading it with materials.
Duties
- Plan and study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials specification, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret design specification and ensure that a correct part is been cut and bent with the correct dimensions while meeting quality standards.
- Document daily production of target achieved.
- Program Laser/Punch machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tools register offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Manufacture metal products using machines that employ laser and computerized equipment.
- Coordinate and Operate Plasma cutting machine, punch machines and Laser machines.
- CAD/CAM programming for CNC Machines using LANTEK EXPERT, LVD CADMAN and CNC Laser CAD.
- Confirm weekly plan material availability.
- Monitoring consumable usage, tooling list, ensure availability and fit for purpose.
- Modify parts and other jobs assigned.
- Prepare for and participate in Inventory control and audit.
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces adhere to company standards.
- Always pay attention to the machine to ensure that it is working properly.
- Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Understand the details of the product to be manufactured, such as the product size used.
- Pay attention to time constraints as projects need to be completed in a timely and quality manner.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; notifying company technicians of needed repairs with the support of the maintenance crew.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Document actions, by completing production and quality logs.
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Take measurement; detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Follow the company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure Health and safety procedures are followed and to maintain all quality systems to meet my production targets.
- Coordinate training, coach, develop employees and ensure safe working environment.
- Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition, or procedure in the workplace, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies

Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent. Certified in Precision Sheet Metal Operator (PSMO), Computer Numerical Control (CNC), and/or any other relevant certification is a plus. Min 7-8 years of proven work experience as Machine Operator in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Electrical Assembler Supervisor
Description:
As an electrical supervisor for a loom assembly production line, you will support our engineering team in taking cabling schematics and developing wire harness assemblies for generators and electrical panel boards. You will supervise a production technician’s team and monitor the production line under responsibility to meet up with quality, and output requirements through a strict follow-up of the established procedures.
Skills:
- Considerable knowledge of electrical generator equipment
- Considerable knowledge of electrical tools and electrical control devices
- Excellent knowledge of supervisory techniques and employee policies and procedures.
- Ability to supervise production, assembly, repair, and do strict quality control on the outputs
- Ability to direct and supervise employees in the production section
- Ability read shop drawings (layout, control diagrams, power diagrams), datasheets and manuals
- Ability to sketch and design electrical layouts of electrical panels wiring and wire harnesses.
- Ability to make mathematical computations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain favourable relations
- Ability to work on computers and send e-mails
Responsibility:
- Responsible for creating 2D drawing models of cable routes for wire harnesses
- Responsible for determining optimal cables length for assemblies and making schematic documentation
- Responsible for cable harness integration to verify cable harness fit
- Responsible for evaluating and performing engineering change requests as required
- Interface with generators’ production and maintenance teams to clarify design issues and improve drawings and quality
- Appropriate and efficient usage of materials in the pursuit of zero loss
- Responsible for achieving the required production plan with an acceptable quality standard and according to specifications right the first time
- Ensures that the production process is executed correctly to manufacture looms as designed on time and to meet JMG expectations
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 to 10 years experience in electrical production works
- Must have a basic understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory
- Experience with electrical schematics and cabling applications is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with electrical cable integration for generators
- Good interpersonal communication skills and computer skills are required to enable an effective interface with other professionals, to produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to the engineering team
- Exceptional ability to lead a team
