Job Description
The duties of the Lead Planner shall include but not limited to:
- Planning and monitoring projects from beginning to end.
- Reviewing the project scopes in detail and preparing project schedules of logical activity sequence
- Ensuring all activities to be carried out are catered to in the schedule.
- Ensuring that the estimated duration for each activity is realistic with adequate manning.
- Preparing job cards that break down activities and indicates the duration of tasks.
- Monitoring daily activities by receiving daily updates from junior planning engineers and junior project engineers from engineering to installation scopes
- Keeping a close eye on projects critical path and issuing timely prompts to the Project Manager on delayed activities
- Preparing weekly and monthly project reports inputs for management and clients
- Mentor and train junior and trainee Planning Engineers.
- Taking responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
- Intervening to stop unsafe acts and conditions in the workplace that could injure personnel or adversely impact on the environment.
- Participating in daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings.
- Participating in U-See U-Act reporting, hazard identification, mitigation, or elimination.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 2 – 8 years work experience.
