Job Description
Successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts from customers. This position requires a diligent and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and communication skills to maintain effective credit control processes.
- Contacting customers to secure payment for overdue invoices.
- Implementing strategies to minimize outstanding debt and reduce the organization’s credit risk.
- Negotiating payment plans with customers to facilitate debt resolution.
- Assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
- Recommending credit limits based on financial data and credit reports.
- Monitoring changes in customers’ financial situations to proactively manage credit risk.
- Reviewing and reconciling customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Resolving invoice discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner.
- Generating and sending regular statements to customers.
- Collaborating with Sales and other departments to address customer inquiries and resolve issues.
- Providing timely and accurate information to management regarding outstanding debts.
- Generating regular reports on the status of outstanding debts and credit risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years as experience in a Credit Control.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
