Job Brief 

  • A Modern Trade Manager is responsible for handling important client accounts in modern trade.
  • These accounts ( Supermarkets ) make up the highest percentage of the channel, and always ensure a strong relationship with them is maintained. He/she will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop solid and trusting relationships between major key clients and companies.
  • Resolve key client issues and complaints.
  • Develop a complete understanding of modern trade needs.
  • Anticipate key account changes and improvements.
  • Manage communications between key clients and internal teams
  • Strategic planning to improve clients’ results
  • Negotiating contracts with the client and establishing a timeline of performance
  • Establishing and overseeing internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client
  • Collaborating with the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Expanding relationships and bringing in new clients
  • Manage all merchandisers.

Job Specifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Modern Trade Manager or similar sales role
  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • Ability to measure and analyze KPIs & ROI
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to travel as needed
