KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Control/Food Safety Manager to join our ultra-modern food processing factory in Nigeria. This facility includes fast food, bakery, butchery, and fruits and vegetables processing. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in a food manufacturing company. The Quality Control/Food Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, managing compliance with regulatory requirements and leading a team to maintain and improve quality assurance processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Assurance Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance systems and procedures to ensure product quality and safety.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Food Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the facility complies with all local and international food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, ISO22000, and other relevant certifications.
- Conduct regular food safety training for employees to maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in production to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address any quality or safety issues identified.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the quality control team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of competency and productivity.
- Foster a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Evaluate and monitor the quality of raw materials and ingredients supplied by vendors, ensuring they meet required standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement improvement plans.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, including trends, issues, and corrective actions taken.
