Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Executive located in Lagos.
- The Business Development Executive will be responsible for new business development, lead generation, business communication, and account management.
- The role involves identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and managing accounts effectively.
Job Responsibility
Customer Service and Client Relationship
- Understand client’s business processes and be able to recommend solutions for identified gaps.
- A follow-up proposition after the client’s current baseline processes has been established within one (1) week.
- Response to clients’ inquiries should be within 2- 4 hours after the receipt of the client’s request.
- Maintain constant contact with clients in a provable way with resulting action. (through emails, telephone calls, SMS, and visits).
- Manage the correspondence and relationship with the client in a professional manner while showing empathy.
Documentation and Presentation Skill
- Ability to put together a presentation or a pitch document to meet the client’s requirements
- Preparation of weekly/daily call plans especially for major clients or prospects.
- The weekly call reports should be in the right format, on time
- Prepare Technical and Commercial proposals using the right format with minimal basic errors
- Ability to present and communicate products and services to clients effectively
- Preparation and submission of report within 24 hours after a visit to a client
- 12-24hrs turn-around time for the submission of commercial & Technical bids (Request for Quotation)
- Great knowledge of Microsoft tools (i.e. PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, etc)
Sales and Marketing
- Minimum of two (2) sales lead generated monthly. Intelligent details must be available for these leads
- Maintain an average of Twenty (20) quality leads at every point in time.
- 50% of sales should be above N50 million, 25% above N100 million, and at least one sale above N100 million. The total Target value is N350 million Per annum.
- Evaluate the contact method used in making successful sales. To ensure all clients are visited at least once fortnightly.
- 50% of the sales target within the year must be met. (Seventeen Accounts (17) Per annum). Emphasis on enterprise sales.
- 30% of bookings within a year should be converted to signed or committed 90% of all completed projects must be transited to support mode
- Present and promote the company’s products and services to prospective clients in a compelling and professional manner.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications
- New Business Development, Lead Generation, and Business Communication skills
- Account Management expertise
- Proven track record in generating leads and securing new business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience in the IT industry is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience
