Job Description
- We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our team, helping to shape the future of our students as they prepare for their transition to secondary education.
- The Year 6 Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that meets the educational and developmental needs of students in Year 6.
- This role involves planning and delivering lessons that align with the curriculum, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare students for end-of-year assessments and the transition to secondary education.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages active learning, critical thinking, and mutual respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, ensuring their well-being and safety.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Degree in Education or a related field, with a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.).
- Proven experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- A commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
