The Role

This role is positively challenging and will provide growth to the prospective role holder.

The ideal role holder is a progressive Finance professional who is intelligent, has a strong interest in deploying accounting solutions, and can work in a fast-paced environment. He/she must be competent in all basic Accounting functions and will be required to perform duties according to best practices.

Most importantly, in line with our client’s standard, he/she should be committed, hard-working, and particular about delivering quality work.

What you will be doing

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are properly and timely recorded
  • Update accounts receivable and accounts payable accordingly
  • Share responsibility for overseeing the accounts reconciliations and inventory management processes.
  • Co-champion the preparation and processing of balance sheets, payroll, income statements, and other financial statements
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Collaborate with the tax consultant and external auditors to ensure the company adheres to all its statutory obligations
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
  • Draft other relevant periodic reports on the financial status of the company
  • Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound analysis
  • Liaise with the Consultants to provide advisory services such as business valuation, budget preparation, template design, accounting framework, and setup
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legal requirements
  • Other related tasks as assigned 

What you need to succeed

  • 1+ years of hands-on Finance experience
  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
  • A member of a professional body e.g. ACA, ACCA, (Part or Fully Qualified) is a ‘nice to have
  • Proven knowledge in bookkeeping, financial reporting, financial management, financial software, and Microsoft suite
  • Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication skills
  • Good attention to details
  • Highly confidential with good integrity
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and result-oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a team and multitask
  • Client relationship and engagement skills
  • Tech savvy; good use of collaboration tools such as Slack
