After 6 years, Michael Schumacher reportedly gain conscious

Former Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher is reportedly “conscious” after being in a coma for nearly 6 years.

Schumacher underwent a “secret treatment” after being admitted to the Pompidou hospital in southwest Paris and he reportedly responded well to treatment.

Schumacher has been in an induced coma since December 2013 after suffering serious brain injuries in a skiing accident while on holiday.

According to Le Parisien, a member of staff at the hospital in Paris was overheard telling a colleague about Schumacher, “Yes, he’s in my department. And I can assure you that he’s conscious.”

Le Parisien reported that the German racer had been admitted to the hospital to receive a pioneering stem-cell transfusion carried out by French surgeon Philippe Menasche.

Though a member of staff claim he has regained consciousness, a family spokeswoman did not confirm this.
