Job Summary
- The AC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of air conditioning systems in our clients’ facilities.
- The successful candidate will be able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure that all systems are functioning properly.
- The AC Technician will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that all client requests are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance on air conditioning systems, including cleaning coils, changing filters, and lubricating moving parts.
- Install new air conditioning systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with air conditioning systems and develop solutions to resolve issues.
- Repair or replace defective components in air conditioning systems, such as compressors, fans, and motors.
- Test and verify proper operation of air conditioning systems following repairs or maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Respond to client requests for repairs or maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate with clients to explain technical issues and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of ND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AC Technician
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
