Vice President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, on Sunday, had a thanksgiving service at his hometown in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The thanksgiving service was held at the Obafemi Awolowo Square.
Present at the event was his wife Dolapo, Governors of Oyo and Lagos, the Ogun State governor-elect as well as his wife, former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, and Senator Godswill Akpabio among other dignitaries.
Buki Bekes opened the service with a praise and worship session with songs while the sermon was delivered by Most Rev. Michael Fape, Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos and Bishop of Remo Diocese.
The Vice President didn’t only thank God for the election victory, the he also thanked God for sparing his life when he was involved in a helicopter crash.
Recalls that a helicopter carrying Osinbajo and his entourage had crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi State, on February 2.
