JOB DESCRIPTION:
- We are actively seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Asset Operations Coordinator to play a pivotal role in achieving our company’s vision. As the driving force behind the development of the assigned asset, you will coordinate activities in line with the company’s strategy and objectives.
- Your responsibilities will extend to the planning, execution, and optimization of field development plans, ensuring the safe and optimal recovery and commercialization of oil and gas resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate the execution of the exploration, appraisal and development plans approved to be executed as part of work program for the asset.
- Lead the planning and execution of well drilling and completion, workover and well intervention activities for the asset.
- Ensure the prudent management of producing reservoirs for optimal field depletion.
- Responsible for managing the asset’s subsurface and surface production systems for optimal well delivery and crude separation.
- Responsible for routine and non-routine maintenance program for the asset to ensure uptime of all production and ancillary facilities and minimal deferments.
- Assign direction, tasks, and resources to the operations team to effectively deliver the requirements of the field development plan.
- Responsible for promoting, encouraging, and rewarding safe working practices within the asset’s operations to achieve clean HSE records.
- Responsible for the CAPEX and OPEX budgets for the operations of the assets.
- Responsible for the planning, monitoring, and recording of expenditures within the asset operations, to optimally manage costs for value creation and realization.
- Liaise with the corporate services and security team for the proactive engagement of the host communities where the asset is situated to ensure uninterrupted asset operations.
- Manage external and regulatory stakeholder relations, not limited to the NUPRC, NMDPRA, NCDMB, etc. to ensure smooth running of the asset operations.
- Setting of performance benchmarks for direct reports and conducting bi-annual performance reviews and development discussions for the development of personnel within the Asset Team
- Developing effective work methods to manage workloads and improve productivity while prioritizing key assignments.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for routine and non-routine tasks and activities.
- To work effectively with all support units
- Supervise external consultants and contractors and ensure that services are delivered according to agreed scope within stipulated timelines and within budget.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Commercial, financial management & strategic management experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of local business practices and regulation regimes.
- A commitment to the highest levels of corporate governance, HSE and ethics.
- A fundamental belief in organizational strength brought through diversity, teamwork, respect, proactive planning, and proactive performance management.
- Solid knowledge base of the various tools, technologies, workflows and business processes across the exploration, appraisal, development, operation phase.
- Strong working knowledge of project governance, value improvement and economics.
- Strong management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate expectations and meet project goals/deliverables.
- Strong communication, influencing & negotiating skills.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- An advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering and geology is required as a minimum.
- A minimum of 10 years working experience in the industry across Geosciences, Reservoir Engineering, Well Engineering, Production
- Engineering, Economics, and Project Management.
