Job Summary
- The Assistant Finance Manager will play a crucial role in financial planning, financial analysis processes, and overall financial management within the company.
- The individual will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and providing insights that support strategic business decisions.
- This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial data and create detailed reports to track financial performance.
- Prepares monthly VAT Transactions and periodic Withholding Tax Report to the Management.
- Manage the preparation and implementation of the company’s budget.
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately
- Analyze operational costs and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Implement the company’s cost Management strategies across board to ensure budget implementation
- Review Trial balance and financial statements for monthly closing, including but not limited to accrued vouchers booking.
- Provide financial analysis and insights for strategic initiatives and business cases.
- Work closely with other business unit to analyze their business in terms of feasibility, profit and loss and provide monthly findings at the monthly performance review meetings
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary & accounting reporting
- Identify, mitigate financial risks and Monitor tax returns functions, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
- Perform business modelling and forecasting for the entire business outlook.
- Oversees the work ability of the accounting functions including credit control, payable, receivables and cash management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, ACA, ACCA is required, MBA will be an advantage
- Minimum of 7 years proven work experience as Finance Manager or Finance Analysis Manager in a reputable organization and experience in the Logistic industry is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Financial modelling, data analysis and reporting tools (e.g Excel, SQL, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Accounting Software (SAP) and ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data
- Proven knowledge of International Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Ability to work independently , work in a team and manage the team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems used in the logistics industry
