Job Overview:
The Financial Analysis Manager will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis processes within the company. The individual will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and providing insights that support strategic business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Salary budget: N400,000 – N600,000 monthly gross
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze complex financial data and create detailed reports to track financial performance.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
- Assist in the development of long-term financial forecasts and strategic plans.
Cost Analysis:
- Analyze operational costs and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Evaluate logistics costs, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution expenses.
- Review Trial balance and financial statements for monthly closing, including but not limited to accrued vouchers booking.
- Explain unusual variation to finance manager and correct wrong postings etc.
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Provide financial analysis and insights for strategic initiatives and business cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Data Management and Systems:
- Maintain financial databases and ensure data integrity.
- Utilize financial software and ERP systems to extract and analyze data.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Monitor tax returns functions, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or ACA or ACCA is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with logistics and supply chain financials.
- Knowledge of transportation and warehousing cost structures.
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems used in the logistics industry
