Job Description
- Promote the products and brand of Ruff and Tumble to achieve maximum growth/sales potential of the outlet.
- The role is responsible for assisting in the effective functioning of the outlet and the staff therein, including overseeing the outlet’s sales & marketing, financial records, storage, requisition, and receipt of products from W&D.
Responsibilities / Deliverables / Outcome
- Assist the store manager in all areas of daily business operations, Sales, managing the employees, customers, and merchandising
Store Sales and Profitability Management:
- Assist in driving the store sales team in the actualization of sales targets in units and values
- Drive store-based improvement strategy for growing store sales and profitability
- Actively monitor the performance of slow-moving items while ensuring that all necessary actions to PUSH for their sale are being done.
- Support in managing the re-tagging of merchandise for reasons such as price adjustments, Promos, Discounts, etc.
- Responsible for driving inter-store sales
- Work with support services units in implementing recommendations that can increase store sales and reduce cost
- Responsible for presenting store profit and loss performance reports
Store Management and Process compliance:
- Ensure store opening and closing processes are followed
- Ensure the daily activities of the store are carried out timely and in accordance with all laid out policies, processes, and procedures in the store.
Store Team Management:
- Ensure store team members adhere to dress code and store operational guidelines
- Encourage and maintain collaboration among the team in meeting store daily/weekly/monthly targets
In-Store Customer Engagement Management:
- Support and ensure that the store sales team consistently provides a warm welcome and a friendly environment to each customer/prospect
Store Inventory management:
- Supervise work and follow-through on the detailed and accurate receiving of merchandise into the store up to the confirmation of the store’s inventory balance and proper sign-off, filing/archiving of all transfer documents
Store Ambience & Visual Merchandising:
- Work with creative visual merchandising unit to ensure that the look and feel of the store (external, shop floor, and inner room) are maintained to our standards at Ruff ‘n’ Tumble, such that it attracts the right customers and guarantees a shopping experience that delivers sales.
Education / Experience
- First Degree or its equivalent from a reputable higher institution.
- Retail management certification is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 4 years experience in a similar retail management role within a structured corporate environment.
- Knowledgeable in retail store operations, sales and customer complaints.
