Salary Range: ₦100,000 – ₦150,000/month
Job Description:
As an Audit Officer at Nett Pharmacy, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits to assess the effectiveness of our controls, processes, and risk management practices.
Your role will involve:
- Monitoring and implementation of strong inventory controls across all our branches.
- Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Reviewing financial records, operational processes, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Identifying areas of improvement and providing recommendations.
- Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management.
- Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile with inventory records on our ERP system
- Evaluate inventory management practices to ensure accurate tracking and minimize shrinkage across all our branches
- Work with the branch managers to ensure accurate inventory controls in all our branches
- Liaise with the warehouse / distribution centre to ensure all inventory is moved according to company policies
- Conduct thorough and objective internal audits of financial and operational activities.
- Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data and prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand processes and identify risks.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of internal audit methodologies.
- Support external auditors during annual audits and other reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification is an added advantage
- Minimum 1-2 years experience as an auditor, preferably in a retail environment, is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in audit software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
