Bala Agaba jailed for 7 years for N1.5bn fraud

A former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Executive Director, Captain Ezekiel Bala Agaba, has been handed a 7-year jail sentence after being found guilty of fraud by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

Agaba reportedly looted N1.5 billion from NIMASA while in charge of Maritime, Safety and Shipping.
