Bandits kill one, kidnap school students in Niger State

Gunmen on Wednesday were reported to have abducted some students and staff of Science College, Kagara, in Niger State

A student was also reportedly killed by the bandits during the attack in the school.

According to a source within the area, the attack started from the staff quarters and ended in the students hostels.

The armed men stormed the school in military uniform Tuesday night.

PRNigeria reports that GSC has close to 1,000 students.

The attackers overpowered the security guard on duty, before whisking away a number of them.

It was gathered that some escaped after the raid.

A headcount is being conducted at the school to ascertain the actual number of missing students.
