As the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, commenced the announcement of local government area results for the last Saturday presidential election in Delta State, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, scored 14, 681 votes in Ukwani local government leading President Mohammadu Buhari’s 4,552 votes.
Further announcement of the results from five local governments out of the 25 local governments in the State, INEC said while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had 29,331 votes in Ika North East local government, President Mohammadu Buhari had 5,265 votes. In Patani Local government, PDP won with 17,028 against APC’s 4,789.
Also in Aniocha North Local Government, PDP won with 12,996 and against APC’s 3,674, also Atiku scored 19,700 and Buhari had 1,960 in Oshimili North Local Government.
However, INEC has moved further announcement of presidential election results till noon today.
