BREAKING: Lagos makes a U-turn, cancels reopening of churches, mosques

The Lags State Government has cancelled the planned reopening of churches and mosques in the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the announcement during a press briefing on Tuesday.

InsideOjodu recalls that Sanwo-Olu had announced that Mosques will re-open on Friday, June 19 while churches will reopen on June 21.

However, Sanwo-Olu said the decision to cancel the reopening of religious centers is a result of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the state, adding that the cancellation is indefinite.
