Buhari declared winner of 2019 presidential election – INEC

Subsequent the collation of results of the Saturday’s Presidential election the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate and incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari has been declared winner of the 2019 Presidential election on Wednesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The President defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar his main challenger and other presidential candidates with over 15,191,847 votes, winning in 19 of the states out of 36 states.

However, Atiku of PDP has called for rejection of the result saying he will proceed to court.
