President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, urged the Senate to screen and confirm Professor Mahmood Yakubu as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a second term in office.
This was contained in a letter of request from the President, read during plenary on Tuesday, by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.
He sought the lawmakers’ expeditious consideration of his request for another five-year tenure for Yakubu.
