Award-winning artists Burna Boy and Davido are set to perform at the Global Citizen Live event alongside international artists.
The Global Citizen Live is an all-day live broadcast that will feature scores of artists, activists, corporate leaders and world leaders to mark a global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alongside Burna Boy and Davido, other Nigerian artistes to perform for the show include Femi Kuti, Tiwa Savage, and Made Kuti.
The global event will take place from September 25th in three locations including Lagos, New York City, and Paris.
Davido, Femi Kuti, Tiwa Savage, and Made Kuti will perform in the Lagos event while Burna Boy is one of the special performers in New York alongside other international artists like Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Meek Mill, and Shawn Mendes.
The special guest performances will be presented by Grammy award-winning singer, Angélique Kidjo.
Other international artists to perform for the show include Alesia Cara, Cyndi Lauper, Jon Batiste, and Lang Lang.
Performing in Paris are Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, DJ Snake, H.E.R., Black Eyed Peas, and Christine and the Queens.
The event which is centred on the Recovery Plan for world campaign is supported by Global Citizen and focuses on ending COVID-19, ending the hunger crisis, resuming learning, protecting the planet, and advancing equity for all.
