Responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance to the Executive Director in managing daily operations, strategic initiatives, and decision-making processes.
- Develop and execute strategies that enhance Tech4Dev’s visibility, reach, and long-term impact by building and maintaining high-value relationships with corporate, government, and foundation partners.
- Lead the identification and securing of diverse funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors. Develop and submit competitive grant proposals and funding applications that align with Tech4Dev’s mission and strategic priorities, ensuring timely follow-up and cultivation of relationships with funders to secure ongoing financial support.
- Design and implement new programmatic opportunities that align with Tech4Dev’s goals by managing the development of pilot programs and initiatives, ensuring they are feasible, scalable, and impactful.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of complex projects and programs from inception to completion by defining project scope, setting timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring alignment with Tech4Dev’s strategic objectives.
- Act as the key liaison between the ED, internal teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and ensure the successful, timely delivery of projects.
- Ensure there are no calendar conflicts by managing conflicting demands to optimize the Executive Director’s time efficiency.
- Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscapes to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular updates to the ED and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, especially regarding matters impacting the organization’s operations and strategic plans.
Core Skills and Competences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully securing and managing significant grants and partnerships.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Highly tech-savvy with advanced proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to gather, interpret, and present data.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Years of Experience
- Minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in a strategic role, preferably within the nonprofit sector, focusing on grants management, operations, and project management.
