Category Sales Lead – Wines & Spirits at TradeDepot

Who we want?

  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Category Sales Lead specializing in Wines and Spirits to join our organization.
  • As a Category Sales Lead, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within the wines and spirits category by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives.
  • Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the wines and spirits industry, excellent sales skills, and a proven track record of achieving targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth within the wines and spirits category.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and cold-calling potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including distributors, retailers, and hospitality establishments.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions, effectively communicating the value proposition of our wines and spirits products.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to key clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support, ensuring timely resolution of any customer issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth order processing, timely delivery, and accurate invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the wines and spirits industry.
  • Deep knowledge of the wines and spirits market, industry trends, and key players.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
