CBD Operatives Uncover Criminal Hideout, Calls for Caution among Residents

… Arrests Three Suspects

The Operatives of the Enforcement Unit of the Lagos State Central Business Districts (CBD) on Tuesday uncovered a criminal hideout located along Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Beside Anchor Event Centre, Ikeja, arresting three suspects found at the place.

The Special Adviser to the State Governor on Central Business Districts, Mr. Gbenga Oyerinde, who revealed this during his visit to the abandoned property being used as a hideout, warned the general public, especially residents to be cautious in the area, especially at night. He stressed that security operatives have been directed to increase their monitoring exercise in the area to forestall any criminal acts.

The Special Adviser said the abandoned property has been under surveillance by CBD operatives after his office had received reports from the public about the activities of some suspicious individuals who usually converge at the place at night.

He disclosed further that the Office of the CBD will leave no stone unturned to clampdown on criminal hideouts in all parts of Ikeja CBD in order to ensure that the business district is safe for all business transactions and leisure.

While informing that the three suspects arrested at the hideout during the raid by the operatives have been handed over to the Police for further investigation and possible prosecution, the Special Adviser called on owners of unused properties to secure them properly to avoid being taken over by criminals or risk being confiscated by the State Government.
