Collation Centre: APC wins Ekiti Presidential result

The collation of presidential election results begins today at the National Collation Centre, Abuja.

The candidate of All Progressive Congress, Mohammadu Buhari has been declared to be leading in the presidential votes in Ekiti state.

According to the State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Prof. Idiwu Olayinka, who read out the results from the state said APC led with a total of 219, 231 votes in the state.

Breakdown of the result has showed below:

AAC: 400

ADC: 406

ADP: 126

ANN: 88

APC: 219, 231

PDP: 154, 032

SDP: 48

Total No of Reg voters: 899, 919

Total No of Accredited: 395,741

Total No of Vote Cast: 393, 709

Total No of Valid Votes: 381, 132

Rejected Votes: 12, 577

The party agents are expected to inspect the results sheets signed at the state collation office.

It is worthwhile to mention that Ekiti state is the only state without a Resident Electoral Commissioner.
