Columbine Survivors Mark Second Decade of Massacre

At a remembrance ceremony in Denver to mark the second decade or twentieth anniversary of the massacre, the survivors of the high school shooting have been speaking.

A teacher and twelve other students were murdered by two teens.

Patrick Ireland, a former student who was also injured by bullets said that no one from the school or its environs were left unaffected by the tragic situation that occurred as a result.

Columbine students also took part in various community service projects to mark the day.

Will Beck, a survivor, was also seen placing flowers at the Columbine Memorial at Clement Park in Littleton, Colorado.

One of the massacre survivors, Sean Graves, a 2002 graduate also spoke during the ceremony.

It was truly a sad day at the Columbine Memorial as a lot of people gathered to remember loved ones, and the names and portraits of the victims of the shooting were left open to honour the victims.

The mourning wasn’t left to the students who came back to mark the day, but also current students at Columbine High who also sat in the prayer at the memorial and shared the pain.
