Job Description
- The Company Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of company personnel, clients, and/or materials to designated locations.
- This role requires adherence to all traffic laws and company policies, as well as a commitment to maintaining a clean and well-maintained company vehicle.
Responsibilities
Safe Vehicle Operation:
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record.1
- Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
Transportation Duties:
- Transport company personnel, clients, and/or materials to various locations as directed.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers.
- Ensuring the car is properly managed and well taken care of.
- Ensure the car is clean and comfortable for all rides.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks (e.g., checking fluid levels, and tire pressure).
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the company vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle has adequate fuel.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Complete and submit trip logs and other required documentation.
- Report any accidents or incidents promptly.
Professional Conduct:
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers and clients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a professional capacity.
Skills:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws.
- Strong navigational skills and familiarity with local roads and routes.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Ability to use navigation applications on smart phones.
- Ability to maintain time management.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate loads.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific types of vehicles (e.g., vans, truck)
