Coronavirus: Governor Sanwo-Olu speaks on possible extension of lockdown

Another COVID-19 patient has been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital in Lagos.

This was made known by the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at a press briefing this evening.

The governor also spoke on the possible extension of the two-weeks lockdown exercise which began in the state on March 30th;

He said ”It was a Federal government directive and I am sure that both with the Federal government and with ourselves(the state), we are reviewing what we are doing. This just day 5 in the first 14 days, there is still about 8 or 9 more days to go. So, it is something that all of us and our Federal authorities would be reviewing. The lockdown wasn’t a directive of the governor. It was a National decision and has a National backing. So if there’s a need to extend at that time, I can assure you we would make a call”.
