The World Health Organisation has confirmed that it held a virtual meeting with 70 traditional medicine experts in an effort to provide a lasting cure to the COVID-19 infection in the continent.

This was disclosed in a tweet on Tuesday by WHO African Region via its official Twitter handle, @WHOAFRO.

An agreement was reached with the traditional medicine experts on clinical trials of their remedies, the tweet revealed.
