COVID-19: Eight patients discharges in Lagos

The Lagos State Government has announced that it had discharged eight more COVID-19 patients who have now tested negative to the disease, following their treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

The discharge has so far given Lagos a total of 69 patients who have been cured of the disease, including, two patients been evacuated, three patients were transferred, with a record of six COVID-19 related deaths.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made this known in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle @jidesanwoolu on Tuesday.

In the tweets, the governor said, “More great news today from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

“Eight more people: two females and six males have tested negative and fully recovered from #COVID19. They have been discharged to return to their families.

“This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 69.

“Please, let us continue to adhere to all the safety advice from our health experts.”

As it stands, Lagos leads the toll of Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections with 192 of the overall 343 national cases.
