COVID-19: US confirmed cases exceeds two million, as virus claims more 112,000 lives

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the United States has continued to be an epicentre of the virus with high confirmed cases of infections and deaths in the country.

According to a tally by Johns Hopkins University, the number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the United States has topped two million on Wednesday, The Punch reports.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore-based school’s latest count shows that the pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 112,900 people in the United States, which leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 2,000,464.
