Donald Trump approves chloroquine to treat COVID–19

The President of the United State of America, Donald Trump, on Thursday, announced the approval of the anti-malarial drug chloroquine for use as a treatment against the new coronavirus.

According to Trump, “We’re going to be able to make that drug available almost immediately, and that’s where the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has been so great,” Punch reports.

“They’ve gone through the approval process – it’s been approved. They took it down from many, many months to immediate. So we’re going to be able to make that drug available by prescription.”
