EFCC arraigns former Head of Service, Winnifred Oyo-Ita

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned the immediate past Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winnifred Oyo-Ita, before the Federal High Court Abuja, over allegation of N3bn fraud she perpetrated while in office.

Oyo-Ita was sacked in September last year after about N600m was allegedly found in the bank account of her aide. Investigation by the EFCC led to the alleged discovery of N3bn in Oyo-Ita’s account.

The antigraft agency claims the money were illegally acquired via kickbacks on contracts, illegal estacodes and duty tour allowance she allegedly received from the government.
