Eid-el-Maulud: Speaker urges Muslims to pray for Nigeria leaders

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has extended his warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In his message to mark the anniversary, Speaker Abbas encouraged Islamic adherents to follow the example of the Prophet, emphasizing that his life and teachings will continue to inspire future generations.

He urged both Muslims and all Nigerians to embrace virtues such as charity, forgiveness, honesty, and patriotism, as these qualities are essential for both leaders and followers to foster peace and progress in the country.

The Speaker called on Nigerians to use this occasion to pray for their political, religious, and traditional leaders, expressing hope that collective efforts and prayers from all stakeholders would help the country overcome its current challenges.

He wished the Muslim Ummah a successful celebration of Eid-el-Maulud and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace during the period.
