#EndSARS: Protesters launch Soro Soke online radio station

Nigerian youths demanding an end of Police brutalization and extra judicial killings have launched an online radio, Soro Soke.

The radio was launched to report all the happenings and coordination the activities of #EndSARS protests nationwide.

InsideOjodu confirmed this on the Twitter handle of the station, @Sorosoke247, where it tweeted, “24/7 update on all things protest. We are for a better nation powered by value for life and good governance.”

The creations of the online radio station is coming a week and days after the protest commenced and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu disbanded SARS on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Soro Soke, a Yoruba sentence which translates as ‘Speak Up,’ had last week become a mantra of the #EndSARS campaign after protesters in Lagos State urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ‘soro soke’ whilst addressing the youths.

Soro Soke is also a metaphor for all Nigerians to speak up against bad governance and resist corrupt leaders.
