‘Enough with record-a-thons’, — Guinness World Records warns

Guinness World Records (GWR) has advised Nigerians and all individuals aspiring to break records or engage in “record-a-thons” to obtain official approval for their desired record titles before embarking on their endeavors.

GWR, renowned for its annual publication showcasing extraordinary human achievements and natural world extremes, took to Twitter to emphasize the significance of seeking record title approval from their team.

The verifying world records on Twitter, said, “Please Enough with the record-a-thons.”

GWR further advised “We love the record-a-thon enthusiasm but we would suggest getting a record title approved by our team before attempting these marathon records!”

Earlier in July, GWR advised prospective record breakers to properly confirm with the Guinness team before attempting to break any world record.

Guinness World Records made this known on its Twitter handle.

“Polite reminder that you should probably have your world record title confirmed by our team before attempting it,” GWR tweeted.
