Ensure Free, Fair and Credible Elections, Ooni Tells INEC

As Ile Ife individuals observe Aje celebration, the Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has encouraged INEC and different stakeholders to guarantee free, fair and credible elections for the peace of the nation.

The Ooni drove a great many Ile Ife indigenes; market men and women, professionals and business tycoons across the nation over to commend this year’s version of Aje Festival.

He said that only a tranquil race could ensure riches and flourishing nation.

Oba Adeyeye, while tending to newsmen in his royal residence, on Monday, clarified that Aje was a god responsible for riches and property.

He said that the celebration affected Nigeria’s economy and serene presence.

As indicated by him, the primary monetary action in Africa began at the well known Igbomekun (Ojaafe) Market in Ile Ife.

He emphasized that the role played by the Igbo individuals of the eastern part of nation couldn’t be over underlined.

“We must go back to our history; this celebration belongs to all, including our brothers and sisters from the East.

“Igbos are part of this celebration, because Nigeria’s economy won’t be complete without mentioning them.

“In the ancient days, the Igbos were part of the natives in Ile Ife, we were one big happy family before they left for the East where they are today.

” Unlike some perspectives that they were from the Jews, the correct notion is that the Jews left Igbo land for their current location,” Ooni expressed.

In a similar vein, Iyaloja of the Federation, Chief Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, said Aje was a standout amongst the most dominant among all Yoruba gods, in perspective on its financial potential.

Tinubu-Ojo communicated her profound confidence in the festival, and guaranteed Nigerians that the nation’s economy would get a lift soonest.

She prompted one and all to advance the renowned Yoruba social and customary legacy.
