Salary Range: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000/month

Job Summary

The Credit Administrative Officer at Neptune Micro Finance Bank is responsible for supporting the credit control department by managing credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. This role involves coordinating with clients and internal teams to facilitate the credit approval process, monitor loan disbursements, and assist in risk assessment and mitigation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Credit Application Processing

  • Review and process credit applications submitted by potential clients.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all documentation and information provided.
  • Coordinate with clients to obtain additional information or clarify details as needed.

Loan Disbursement and Monitoring

  • Prepare and process loan disbursement documentation.
  • Monitor loan disbursement schedules and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Track and report on loan performance, including repayments and delinquencies.

Credit Risk Assessment

  • Assist in conducting credit risk assessments by gathering and analyzing financial data.
  • Prepare credit reports and summaries for review by senior credit officers and management.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit transactions and client interactions.
  • Ensure all credit files are properly organized and stored in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit activities and performance metrics.

Compliance and Policy Adherence

  • Ensure all credit activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to established credit policies.

Client Communication and Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding credit application status, disbursements, and repayments.
  • Provide clients with clear and accurate information about credit products and requirements.
  • Address and resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

Collaboration and Team Support

  • Work closely with other departments, such as Finance, Loan, and Internal Control, to support credit operations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of credit strategies and solutions.
  • Provide administrative support to senior credit officers as needed.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree, ND, HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit administration, loan processing, or a related role in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of credit processes and risk assessment.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with financial management software and credit management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and lending practices is an advantage.
