FG announces new date for commencement of new monthly pension

The Federal Government has decided to postpone the start date for the new monthly pension payment for pensioners in the parastatals under the Ministry of Power and Transportation.

In a statement released on Friday, Mr. Gbenga Ajayi, Head of Corporate Communications at the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), informed the public about the adjustment.

The initial date set for the commencement of the back-end computation project for pensioners in July has been rescheduled to August 2023.

The reason behind this change in the implementation date is to address various logistical challenges that have affected production and other related matters.

By pushing the implementation to the August payroll, the directorate aims to resolve these issues before initiating the new monthly pension.
